Laulima Day Events
On Saturday, December 6th, Laulima Day will feature a time for local people to help support struggling keiki, kupuna, and ʻohana across Hawaiʻi. The entertainment will include award-winning hālau, ʻukulele groups, hip-hop dancers, fitness teams, a youth orchestra, and a taiko drum team. At each site, we will have KHON2 news talent, who will be there to share the stories of those who need our help, encouraging the crowds to give from their hearts and share with those who need a hand-up.
Many of the groups that will be featured are previous partners with the Laulima Giving Program. They share a deep passion for the keiki and future generations, and this event is a platform for them to inspire and empower families. By sharing their passion for fine arts, they encourage families to enroll their students in their programs, helping to ignite and promote confidence, self-awareness, and a love for our Hawaiian culture in the next generation.
We welcome families to come and join us at any of the 7 locations from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and offer them the opportunity to teach their keiki the values of kindness and compassion by donating a toy, clothing, household items, cash, or gift cards at any of the 7 locations. Please view locations at: Laulima Day
Hālau Nā Mamo O Ka Liko Maile O Kohala is looking forward to our performance on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Prince Kūhiō Mall in Hilo from 1:15 pm to 2:00 pm.
Please come and support us and be a part of this beautiful cause. If you are interested in joining our hālau, please come by and say aloha. We have Open Enrollment now through December 31, 2025. Mahalo!
